The pages of the Aikido Hawaii Web site spring from the love of Aikido in the hearts of our volunteers. From this love arises the desire to see all Aikidoka unified into one Aikido family. The members of Aikido Hawaii respect the shugyo of those who have gone before us and opened the way that Aikido may be available to us and to those who follow us. Because of this we wish to preserve some record of these people and the stories of their work to find a living home for Aikido in Hawaii.
Hopefully over time, all Hawaii dojo's and calendars of events can be listed in the Aikido Hawaii Web site with contributions being made from the members of the dojos. We gladly welcome your input and ideas on such a subject.
You can also help out by linking your website to Aikido Hawaii. See our link page for more details.

The Aikido Hawaii logo consists of the word Aikido and an adaptation of an Hawaiian petroglyph, all contained in a circle. The petroglyph was designed and drawn by Rodney Chiogioji, an archaeological illustrator and 4th dan Aikido teacher and student. Many thanks, Rodney!
