On Saturday, March 11, 1961 at 7:30 PM, O-Sensei gave a public demonstration of Aikido at the McKinley High School Auditorium, Honolulu, Hawaii. This demonstration was by invitation only. A brochure was published to promote the event. The brochure is of historical value due to the photographs and narratives concerning many of the early Aikidoka of both Hawaii and Japan. This brochure is here reproduced in its entirety.

A couple of notes are in order. Because the narratives do not reproduce clearly in the image format used, they are retyped below each image. The images are in interlaced gif format which allows the user to scroll past the image directly to the narratives without having to wait for complete download of the image (which can be time consuming). We have attempted to reproduce narratives exactly as in the brochure, and have maintained the spellings used in the brochure even though current accepted spellings may be different. Also, please note that because our copy of this 1961 brochure was old and not of the best quality, some of the photographs show stains and discoloration's.
