Aiki-do was first introduced into these Islands by Mr. Koichi Tohei in the spring of 1953, and the Hawaii Aiki-kwai, formed shortly thereafter, has made tremendous progress during the past eight years. The members of the Hawaii Aiki-kwai proudly attribute this success to the most hearty co-operation received from you who have so kindly accepted our invitation for this evening's event.
It is with profound respect and humility that we welcome you to this evening's demonstration of Aiki-do by its very founder Mr. Morihei Uyeshiba.
